It would figure that I would get inspiration to actually do something with my dA account and then I would have to leave. But it's not that big a deal.

I know I've had this account for a long time and done a fat load of nothing with it (except favorite and comment on all the fantastic art I've enjoyed here). But now, I've come up with a story idea that I want to do something with. It's based on Sailor Moon - to an extent (it's unlikely that any of Takeuchi-san's original SM characters will make an appearance in the story, so it's not fanfiction in that sense). I can't really get into the details here because it's still under construction, but they do exist. I have made some KiSS dolls for the Sailors, which I have posted in my gallery.

But this project is going to be put on hold as of next Wednesday. This is because I've decided to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm excited to go for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is that I feel that this is the right thing for me to do at this point in my life. My religion is extremely important to me and I'm anxious for this chance to serve others.

Going on a mission, however, comes with a rigid set of rules (which is not necessarily a bad thing). Some of those rules include limiting my internet activity to emailing family and close friends once a week. Needless to say, dA does not fall into that category. And I probably won't get to work on any of my creative projects. I'll only be gone for 18 months and then I can write stories to my heart's content.
